Not knowing much about Austin before this visit, it quickly became one of my favorite stops! We stayed in South Austin, in a nice quiet residential area but, was also within walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants, and even an awesome brewery on our block (more below). The weather was sunny and pretty hot for most of our stay so, we made sure to check out all the swimming holes and public pools that we could. There were lots! Read more.

Filled with so much character, history, and charm, staying in the Irish Channel was the best! Every morning I strolled around the neighborhood with an iced coffee and my dog and awed at all the beautiful homes. Each corner I turned was another beautiful tree-lined street of homes with flowering plants hanging from windows and wrap around porches. Locals were friendly, there was a huge selection of food options, and you can even enjoy a boozie drink on your walk around town! Read more.
